Design Characteristcs
EG-GRV ball valves are designed for high-temperature applications up to 550°C.
The primary innovation of this type of valves resides in the original design for both the seat and ball, which are no longer made by normal steels but by the modified surface coatings such as chromium or tungsten carbides, and others available upon request, designed particularly for appropriate applications at high temperature, high pressure and aggressive environments containing also heavy residuals, abrasive and/or corrosive pieces.
► Series BAM: for applications at high-temperature up to 550°C (1022°F).
► Full bore, forged steel and casted steel valves.
► Suitable for any kind of fluid compatible with graphite, particularly for applications on water/steam/gas even with high pressure drop.
► Nearly indefinite bubble tight seat tightness throughout the full range of operations.
► High resistance to erosion.
► Very effective for the handling of abrasive-containing fluid and any dirty media. The alternating metal-graphite layers of the seat sweep the ball surface cleaning it during every open-close operation.
► The packing is made particularly to prevent any measurable fugitive emission from the operation environments.
► Maintenance-Free: however if, for any reason, maintenance is ever required, the seat replacement is simple and inexpensive thanks to the low cost of the seat rings and their ability to auto-adapt to the ball, thus eliminating the need to replace the complete ball and seat assembly as it is normally required in metal-seated ball valves.
